We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Billing Staff member to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and processing billing transactions, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining timely payments. The Billing Staff will work closely with various departments to ensure that billing records are accurate and up to date, and assist customers or clients with any billing-related inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and process invoices for services rendered or products sold.
- Review and verify billing information for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.
- Ensure that all transactions are properly recorded and filed in the accounting system.
- Reconcile billing discrepancies and resolve issues with clients or internal departments.
- Track payments, ensure timely collection, and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and summaries related to billing.
- Provide customer support regarding billing inquiries, payment status, and disputes.
- Maintain accurate records of all billing transactions and documents.
- Process refunds or adjustments as needed.
- Coordinate with the accounting department to ensure accurate reporting and reconciliations.
- Assist in the implementation and improvement of billing processes and systems.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Previous experience in billing, invoicing, or a similar administrative role is preferred.
- Knowledge of billing software or accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information confidentially.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
